The Sprawl is an online documentary exhibition owned by Metahaven which has a total of 46 videos. For this exhibition, Metahaven allowed their audience to explore propaganda at the age of the internet through website; http://sprawl.space/#. The artist would like to show us how fantasy and propaganda have gained prominence over transparency and accountability. At once a documentary, an art film, a background music and music combine together to create an online exhibition like this.

When we first entered the website what caught my attention was the confusing graphic and arrangement. In my opinion, I think it is one of the purposes of the artist to make the audience feel this way. I have been interested in MH370 Malaysia Airlines in 2014 the most. At that time this news was really hyped. Everybody was talking about that plane. There are thousands of theories and beliefs that have been spreaded all over the world until now no one really knows where the plane is. Recently, there have been developments of technology where we could easily find our phone with just an application by ourselves but we couldn’t navigate the world-class airplane that has disappeared. We are living in the era of population need to find truth. Information, rumors, news everything has been distorted and transformed into something else. We have right to know the truth what is happening in this world but a lot of organization choose to keep it to themselves just because they afraid that it would effect them.
