Nowaday internet has become one of the most important parts in our life. We posted and we shared we became part of the internet already. Humans like us need to be in a group. We are animals which need to watch and learn in order to survive in society. Imitating is what made us a human. People may imitate with their hands, bodies, faces or speech but recently I have experiences on the cyber-world through social-media platforms is that we imitate each other through posture on the Instrgam, dance moves on different challenges, feed decoration and many more features that we would never think of.
In this project I want to reflect the imitation of the recent society among the internet users on the platform called Tik Tok. This application became really popular these days and many people are using it so that’s why I chose this media as my main application. Think of the word reflection. The first object that would fit in this word is mirror. Firstly, I started experimenting on 30 methods by creating it into a shape of regular mirror-like form. And then I start to arrange different videos from Tik Tok users in different challenges and put it together in order to show the way how humans imitate each other through social media.
